Key Installation Points for Buckets in Belt-Type Bucket Elevators

In belt-type bucket elevator installations, the quality of bucket installation directly impacts operational efficiency, service life, and safety. Hebi Universal shares critical installation details and precautions for belt-type bucket elevator buckets.

1. Precise Positioning and Even Spacing
Thoroughly clean the conveyor belt before installation. Strictly mark bucket position lines according to drawings to ensure even spacing and prevent operational interference.

2. Correct Bolt Fastening

  • Buckets are typically secured using U-bolts or clamping plates.

  • Nuts must be positioned on the outer side of the conveyor belt to prevent loosened parts from being drawn into drums.

  • Thread direction should face the outer side of the operating path to avoid loosening.

  • Use a torque wrench to tighten evenly, preventing uneven stress that may cause bucket misalignment or belt damage.

3. Ensuring Operational Clearance

  • Verify clearance between:

    • Bucket bottoms and internal casing

    • Discharge zones and housing covers

  • Manually rotate or jog-test the system to observe:

    • Bucket tilt

    • Bolt protrusion

    • Scraping/contact phenomena

The key to installing buckets in belt-type bucket elevators lies in precise positioning, standardized fastening, rational clearance, and comprehensive inspection. Strict adherence to installation standards prevents efficiency loss, abnormal wear, equipment damage, and ensures long-term stable operation.
